I always thought that shooting babies is very challenging – you can’t tell them to pose or stay in one place where the light is falling the right way and what do you do if they start crying? After having Michael I became addicted to shooting babies-who else will look as innocent and will show there emotions as freely and cute? Below are a few pictures of Mika who just turned one and her two beautiful sisters. She is a true lady-she was a little sad that she aged 1 year:) Its our 2nd shoot with her-I had an honor to do her 8 m pictures. Happy birthday to Mika and congrats to her family!

Fabulous Halloween Wedding

I would like to share with you a couple of amazing ideas for Halloween-inspired wedding decorations.

Last weekend was a true Halloween weekend- it was raining, snowing and very windy, which didn’t stop Valerie and Andy from having an amazing and fun wedding. Halloween is Valerie’s favorite holiday – so naturally, she chose Halloween (aka Tom Burton’s Corpse bride style) theme for their wedding, which took place in elegant Hempstead house, a former Guggenheim mansion.

Touching wedding ceremony took place in the room filled with trees, candles and surrounded by mysterious smoke. Beautiful bride was wearing a simple wedding dress, complimented by antique jewelry and a birdcage veil. After the ceremony she changed in a decadent black dress, reminiscent of the glorious days of the mansion. The couple filled this beautiful house with playful ghosts (hired actors) that were wandering between guests during cocktail hour, accompanied by musicians dressed in 1920s styled clothes. The reception was a masterpiece of taste and fantasy – beautiful bouquets, silver sculls, flower trees and of course, Halloween-inspired food. Needless to say, it was a wedding to remember. Congratulations to a wonderful couple!

Those who know me well probably remember my unconditional love to chocolate and can imagine my excitement when I was asked to photograph my favorite food. Last week I had a pleasure to meet Leslie-Ann Fromen, who makes unique gourmet chocolates for special occasions such as weddings, bridal showers and birthdays and shoot some of her beautiful, mouthwatering creations. “Ladies Who Launch” Event at Frederic Fekkai 5th Ave Salon

A few weeks ago we had a wonderful opportunity to attend and capture a fun “Pitch and Glitz” event organized by “Ladies Who Launch”. LWL is an organization that helps women entrepreneurs to grow their business by offering valuable resources and connections through their workshops and networking events.

“Pitch and Glitz” event was the 1st event we attended and we were really impressed by organization, content and networking opportunities. LWL members had a complete makeover (make-up, hair styling & eyebrow shaping) by Frederick Fekkai’s best make up artists and hair stylists and after that they had an opportunity to pitch their ideas to some of the hottest journalists in town (The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, ABC, etc.).

Thanks to Stella, Karla, Julia and other brilliant ladies for organizing such a great event! We’re looking forward to the next one!

Beach Maternity Session

I was thrilled when a bride I shoot more than a year ago emailed and said that she is expecting and would like to have a maternity session! There is nothing more rewarding than to know that people are happy with the results and keep coming back. Susanna and her hubby chose Coney Island beach in Brooklyn as a place for the photoshoot. She changed into several outfits, was very adventurous and really proved that expecting mothers are sexy, fabulous and fun!!!

Ellada & Vadim’s Engagement

Ellada and Vadim are getting married at the end of September and asked me to take their engagement pictures, which they intended to use for the wedding guest book and picture slideshow. We started off the engagement session at Interstate Palisades Park overlooking GW bridge and made our way around Northern NJ jumping from one location to another. The weather was wonderful…we saw a dear in the park… the couple was glowing w/ love and happiness…it was absolutely perfect! Ellada brought 4 dresses and had a chance to wear them all! Check it out!

Sergey & Ilona’s Wedding

Dmitry & Daria’s 4th of July Wedding

Dmitry & Dasha’s has been together for almost 4 years: since their 1st date at the film festival they’ve done numerous camping and hiking trips together, shared many wonderful moments and even adopted and raised an examplary black cat named Phillip. They tied the knot at Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island on 4th of July. There was amazing food, dancing, laughing, fireworks and lots of sun during the ceremony (may be too much – it was 90+ degrees:). Here are some pics from their wedding:
